Basil on a kitchen sill

Water when the top of the soil feels dry. Morning light, not harsh noon. Pinch the tops if it grows leggy. A small pot is enough.

If the leaves droop in the afternoon, wait until evening before watering again. Overwatering is the usual mistake.
